As hoped, the Giants picked Kenny Phillips with the 31st and final pick of the first round.
That makes 14 straight years the Canes have at least one first-rounder, easily an all-time record. No other college is even close.
The 2009 Draft? Hmmm. Maybe left tackle Jason Fox can keep the streak going.
