Huge day for the Canes as first Yonder Alonso and now Jemile Weeks have been drafted in the first round.

The Oakland A's picked Weeks with the 12th pick. Weeks has a good chance to be a major-league second baseman in a cople of years. He would, of course, join his brother Richie as a major-leaguer.
