CAMPBELL, GOODEN GET PICKED
After round one, in which the Giants took safety Kenny Phillips, two more Canes have been drafted.
In round two, the Arizona Cardinals drafted defensive end Calais Campbell. He will join two other Canes on the Cards - running back Edgerrin James and defensive back Antrel Rolle.
In round three, the Baltimore Ravens took linebacker Tavares Gooden. He will learn from the great Ray Lewis, the ex-Canes star who plays in the middle for the Ravens. The Ravens also have an ex-Cane as the focal point of their offense in running back Willis McGahee.
Phillips, by the way, joins three ex-Canes on the Giants - tight end Jeremy Shockey, wide receiver Sinorice Moss and punter Jeff Feagles.
Canes, Canes everywhere.
By the way, the Canes' baseball team, ranked No. 1 in the nation, clinched the Virginia series with an extra-innings win on Saturday night. The Canes have won every series they have played this season - an amazing feat.
